Born in Brazil to Japanese and Italian parents, Enzo Kohara Franca moved to England at the age of eighteen to become a writer. After years hitch-hiking across Europe and the Middle East, he studied Photojournalism at the University of Arts London and documented conflicts in Eastern Ukraine and North Macedonia.
His short stories have been published by the Fortnightly Review, Kurious Art, Litro, the Tishman Review, Hammond House and Liar’s League London. He won the 2020 Kurious Art Award and was shortlisted for the 2021 Bergen Literary Festival, the 2020 Alpine Fellowship and the 2019 Tillie Olsen Award.
